On January 19, 2015; William H. Stromberg passed away. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathryn; loving father of Mark (Carol); Susan McGuire (Martin); Eric (Judy), Kevin (Kareen) and Janice Thornton (David); cherished grandfather “Pap” of 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by many loving friends and relatives. Bill had a passion for art which continued long after he graduated from The Maryland Institute of Art. Over the years, Bill was active in many Baltimore Art Leagues and most recently enjoyed the time he spent with his artist friends at the Fireside Art Commitee at Charlestown. Bill honorably and faithfully served this country in World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in both Arbutus and Charlestown.
Family members and friends may call at the family owned AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1328 Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus, on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11AM at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown Retirement Community. An Interment will immediately follow services in the Lakeview Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Benevolent Care Foundation at Charlestown; 719 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville.
