William Snyder

William “Bill” Neal Snyder, 95, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville, MD.  Born July 13, 1926 in Arbutus, Maryland to the late Joseph C Snyder and Mabel V. (Staph) Snyder.  He graduated from Catonsville High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe.  He worked for the C&P Telephone Company until he retired in 1982.

He took great pride in woodworking projects that he did for family and friends.  He was 74-year member of the Howard Masonic Lodge and a member of the Arbutus United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughters, LuAnn Snyder-Elligson and her husband Jeffrey, and Rhanda Weber and husband, Mark.  Granddaughters, Amber Duvall and husband Kenneth, Erin Weber and fiancé Dr. Matthew Brown; great grandchildren, Logan and Kennedy Duvall.  He is predeceased by brother, Kenneth Snyder.

A memorial gathering will be held at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus on Friday, April 1st from 10 AM to 11 AM. Masonic and memorial services will begin at 11 AM. Inurnment will immediately follow at Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to the Arbutus United Methodist Church.
