William Holmes, Sr.

William A. Holmes, Sr., age 92, passed away on July 16, 2016 in Halethorpe, Maryland. He was born on April 7, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Samuel C. Holmes and Elizabeth L. Holmes. William was the beloved husband of the late Mildred E. Holmes( nee Herold); loving father of Patricia A. Brown, William A. Holmes, Jr., Raymond E. Holmes, Sr., Mary Margaret Burnett, George S. Holmes, Sr., John F. Holmes, Sr., Anthony J. Fostek and the late William F.X. Holmes, Edgar E. Holmes and Kenneth M. Holmes; cherished grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; dear brother of Edgar E. Holmes. Also, survived by other loving relatives.
Family members and friends will honor William’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD with a public viewing on Thursday 7/21/16 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm where a funeral service will follow on Friday, 7/22/16 beginning at 11am. Interment to follow in Loudon Park Cemetery.
