Thomas “Tom” Malone

On February 10, 2023 Thomas "Tom" More Malone passed away surrounded by family. Tom was born on May 29, 1935 to the late William and Rosemary (nee Sullivan) Malone. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma C. Malone (nee Lutz); loving father of Maureen Bramblett and her husband Jeff, Brian Malone and his wife Melissa, and Michael Malone and his significant other Cathy Kramer; cherished Pop Pop of Lauren Bramblett and her husband Andrew LeValley, Rachel Bramblett, Kyle Malone, Eryn Malone, Maggie Malone, and Matthew Malone; dear brother of Gerard "Jerry" Malone and his wife Jean and the late Donald Malone, William Malone, Kathleen Walter (Joe), James "Ned" Malone (Marge); Tom is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Tom grew up in Halethorpe, MD and graduated from Loyola High School and later Loyola College (University). His early career was with Exxon Corporation, first as a salesman and later as a lobbyist in Washington, DC. Tom then went into business for himself as an Exxon station owner with two stores on Washington Blvd. He later sold the stations and enjoyed early retirement. Tom was an avid tennis player and also enjoyed basketball. In his later years, he began a love affair with golf that continued for the rest of his life. Tom was a true Irishman with an easy smile and a great story to tell. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Family members and friends will gather to celebrate Tom's life from 10:30am-11:00am with a memorial Mass beginning at 11am on Saturday February 18th at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, at Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville.  Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be held at Shannon's until 3pm.
