Thelma Mcconkey

On July 11, 2013, THELMA E. MCCONKEY(nee Irish) a resident of the Charlestown Retirement Community(Catonsville), avid Ravens and Orioles fan, and a member of the Lansdowne Christian Church passed away. She is the beloved wife of the late Elmer L. McConkey; loving mother of Kathryn Gumphrey and her husband Ed(Virginia Beach) , Karen L. Wilson (Hampstead, MD.), Carol A. Hanson(Elkridge, MD.), Larry McConkey( Arbutus, MD.) , and the late Michael McConkey and his surviving wife Imee McConkey; cherished grandmother of Sarah, Skip, Glen, Christine, Brian, John, Larry, Maryann, Jason, Sarah and Rachel, and great-grandmother of several grandchildren; caring sister of Charles A. Irish and his wife Norma(Severna Park, MD.). Also, survived by her dear friends Agnes, Betty and Janet from Charlestown. Family members and friends will honor Thelma's life with a public viewing on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Arbutus location from 3-5PM and 7-9PM where a funeral service will follow on Tuesday beginning at 11AM. Interment to follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park.
