Steve Yarbor

George “Steve” Yarbor, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 76. He was a man of quiet strength, deep wisdom, and unwavering love — the heart of his family and a guiding light to all who knew him.

Steve dedicated his life to supporting those he loved. He was known for his wit, sarcasm, steady presence, and the deep pride he took in his family — especially his grandchildren and nieces and nephews, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Debbie Yarbor; his son Steve (and Kristen); grandchildren Courtney (and Kishan), Stevie, Dylan, Bobby (and Stephanie), and Josh (and Kayla); and great-grandchildren JJ, Mason, Ryleigh, Camden, Lanie, Kaiden, and Maverick. He is also survived by Denny, who he raised and loved dearly; his sister Vicky (and Pat) and Deana (and Scott), along with so many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose, and siblings Donald, Brenda, Timmy, David, and also Lisa — who he raised too and who he loved like a daughter.

Steve loved the peace of the water, the joy of fishing, and the comfort of his family. We find solace in knowing he is finally at rest — no more pain, no more suffering — hopefully enjoying a big steak, a cold Pepsi, and casting a line in calm, clear waters.

He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered.

Visitation will be held at Ambrose in Arbutus on Monday, March 17 from 3–5 p.m. and 7–8 p.m., with services beginning promptly at 8 p.m.
