Stephan Covell Sauerhoff passed peacefully from this life on the evening of January 4th, 2017, after a gradual decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. Stevie was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 26, 1960.
Stevie was preceded in death by his mother (Mary Elizabeth James Sauerhoff) and his stepmother (Florence Mooney Sauerhoff). He is survived by his beloved father (Elmer Buddy Sauerhoff); his four loving sisters (Priscilla Brocato), (Debbie Nelson), (Sharon Fratini), (Mary Ellen Munoz) and many nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
As a child, Stevie loved to play the drums and always went to bed with his drum sticks. He loved a wide variety of music and especially loved to entertain others.
Stevie attended and graduated from Marley Glen School during which time he participated in the Special Olympics. He enjoyed wrestling, football, golf, and the race track.
His life was a living example of love .... from his typical greeting of, "Hello my darling," to "I love you much," and his giving lots and lots of hugs and kisses.
A memorial service will be held on Monday 1/16/2017 at 4pm with a gathering prior from 2-4pm at Ambrose Funeral Home, Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus, MD 21227. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics and Alzheimer's Association at Alz.org
