Sonja Fischbach

Peacefully on September 3, 2019, Sonja Fischbach, beloved wife of 49 years to Robert Louis Fischbach; loving sister-in-law of Erna (and husband Richard) Prehoda, Paul (and wife Elsie Middleman) Fischbach, Karen (and husband Richard) Michalski, Dianne Pruitt, and Lee Pruitt, the late Margaret (and husband Jack) Hood, and the late Lou Phillips, Sr.; beloved "MeMall" to her honorary grandchildren Amanda, Dylan, Kristen, Richard, Connie, Donna, Jeffrey, Louis, Jr.,  Stevie, Kenny , Jimmy, and the late Brittany and Ronald; beloved mommy of Bailey, and predeceased by many other loving four legged babies; also survived by many other cherished family members and friends.

From her beloved husband, Robert:

"Sonja was my life, she loved cooking, cleaning the house, & taking care of our animals. She was along side me for better than 50 years. She loved socializing with family and friends. At night, she had to say her prayers before going to sleep, which included family, friends, and our four legged ones, alive or dead. She suffered a lot; God will take good care of her. Once in heaven, she'll cross over the rainbow bridge, look out into the fields and see all her dogs, cats, & birds waiting for their Mommy. Goodbye Mein Schatz"

Family and friends may visit at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd. on Saturday from 3-5 and 7-9pm, where a Funeral Service will be held Sunday at 12:00pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to the SPCA 1815 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403.
