Shirley Gartrell
July 16, 1925 — November 18, 2013
On November 18, 2013, Shirley Gartrell passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Gartrell, Jr.; devoted mother of Pat Makela (Jan), Robert Gartrell, III (Patricia), Kathy Mellon (Mike), Nancy Walker (Fred), and Jeanie Perkins (Pat); cherished grandmother of Shay, Danny, Courtney, John, Justin, Jared, Michele, Karen, Kelly, Amanda, Mindy, Heather, Colleen, Patrick, David, Sean, and 27 great grandchildren.
There will be a public viewing held for Shirley at our Arbutus location on Friday, November 22nd from 3 PM to 5 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM and Saturday, November 23rd from 9 AM to 11 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Church of the Ascension, 4603 Poplar Rd., Halethorpe on Saturday at 12 PM.
Interment will immediately follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
