Shirley Bush

Shirley A. Bush, age 87, passed away on January 19, 2017 in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Shirley was born on February 12, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Hodiste and Helena Hodiste (nee Stranz). She was the beloved wife to the late Harley E. Bush for 51 years before his passing in 1997. She is the loving mother of Kenneth E. Bush and his wife Elizabeth, and Linda C. Riley and her husband S. Neal. Cherished granny of Devyn.

Shirley is a longtime former active member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in Arbutus, Maryland where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Shirley is a proud member of the Eastern Stars. She enjoyed baking cookies and taking care of her granddaughter Devyn.Shirley will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members and friends will honor Shirley’s life at the family owned and operated  AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus, Maryland 21227 with a public viewing on Sunday from 3-5pm & 7-9pm where a funeral service will be held on Monday beginning at 10am. Interment to follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations in Shirley's memory may be directed to VNA Hospice, 440 North Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331
