Shawn Joyave

Shawn Anthony Joyave was born January 27th, 1976 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the oldest of five children. His favorite hobby was shooting pool, he also enjoyed fishing, painting cars and building things. Shawn didn’t have an easy life, but he overcame all the obstacles that crossed his path. He took his passion of doing things with his hands and started his own business which he was extremely proud of. His wife and kids were his world and he worked hard to give them everything they needed in life. Shawn loved the rest of his family and friends as well and would be there for them always. He took friendship seriously and some would say he lived by the old skool code.

Shawn passed away June 4th, 2018 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is survived by his wife Kimberly Joyave, Loving children Shawn Joyave Jr, Mercedes Joyave, and Brandon Joyave and cherished niece Zoei Brown; Beloved father Robert Joyave and stepfather Antonio Purisima; treasured sisters Lisa Clifton and her husband Christian and Angel Golombieski.

Shawn is preceded in death by his mother Tina Smallwood. His stepfather Edward Golombieski Sr and his brothers Cristino Purisima Sr and Edward Golombieski Jr. Also Survived by other loving family members and friends.

Family members and friends will honor Shawn’s life at the family owned and operated Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Road, Lansdowne, Maryland 21227 with a public viewing on Sunday, June 10th and Monday, June 11th from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 12th beginning at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made directly to Ambrose Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
