Sharon Murphy

Sharon Lee Murphy, age 74, passed away peacefully in Mansfield, Texas, on October 8, 2016. She was surrounded by her family. Sharon was born March 28, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Donald Everett Murphy and the late Audrey Anne Murphy (nee Hoffmeister). She is also preceded in death by her sister, Kay Krieger (nee Murphy). Sharon lived in Arbutus, Maryland her whole life until recently, when she went to be cared for by her family in Texas. Sharon graduated from Catonsville High School in 1960, was a long time parishioner of St. Benedict's Church, a lifelong member of the Dewey Lowman Post 109 American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Hibernian Society of Baltimore. Sharon was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sister, Donna Murphy of Marietta, OH; daughters Kimberly Greenstreet of Mansfield, TX, Barbara Murphy of Arlington, TX; grandchildren Donald, Gabrielle, Meggan, Cheyenne, and Skylar; great-grandson, Jayce, and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family members and friends will honor Sharon's life at the Ambrose Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Road Arbutus, MD 21227, with a memorial service on Saturday November 5, 2016 from 1-2pm. Final private interment will be at Loudon Park Cemetery.
