Sandra Tawa

Sandra Lee Tawa (née Fisher), age 73, passed away on February 3rd 2017. Born September 17, 1943 in Baltimore Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Virginia G. Fisher.  Sandra was preceded in death by her sister Jessica Silvia. Sandra is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Tawa. She was the loving mother of D. Scott Shriver and Shari L. Laun; grandmother of Autumn Shriver, and her husband Fernando and great-grandmother to "Nando" and Cristhian. Sandra was the cherished aunt of Rachel Buccheri, Rebecca Betz, Jason Buccheri, and Deal, Seth and Jordan Ambrose as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Sandy loved spending time with her family and girlfriends. She loved listening to music, especially Barbra Streisand.   She loved cooking and making her favorite homemade comfort foods and was always on the quest to find a good crab cake.

A memorial gathering for Sandy will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 11:30 am -1 pm, at the AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1328 Sulphur Spring Road Arbutus, MD 21227, where a memorial service will begin at 1 pm. Inurnment to immediately follow services in the Loudon Park Cemetery, Wilkens Ave.
