Roderick Grooms, Jr.

Roderick Olson Grooms, Jr., age 30, passed away on August 21, 2017 in Glen Burnie, Maryland. He was born on November 29, 1986 in Landover, Maryland. Rod is the beloved son of Tebblyn Dena’ Jones and Roderick Olson Grooms, Sr.; loving father of Kamiya Grooms and Kendrick Grooms; dear brother of Tatiana Grooms, Raheem Stephens, Kenneth Grooms, Temerriel Maynard, Warren Maynard, and Tena Maynard; caring grandson of Juanita Knight and Samuel Grooms; loving godson of Demetria Johnson; dear god brother of Damion Ball, Shyheim Honeyblue, Rhiann Honeyblue and Jerettle Allen. Also, survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Family members and friends will honor Rod’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 with a public viewing on Saturday, 9/2/17 from 12pm-2pm where a funeral service will follow beginning at 2pm.
