Raymond D. Cegelski, Sr.

Raymond Cegelski, Sr., age 71, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2024. He is the beloved husband of Debra Cegelski; cherished father of Teresa (Robert) McGhee, Raymond Cegelski, Jr., and Angel (Brandon) LeCompte; loving Pop of Samantha McGhee, Kevin McGhee, Brady McGhee, Elijah Cegelski, Allison LeCompte, Thomas LeCompte, Emily LeCompte, and Oliver LeCompte and great grandchildren Daniel Dawson, Elizabeth McGhee, Brantley McGhee, and Brenden Moore; dear brother of Sandy, Cathy, Wendy, Po, and Mary; also survived by Bailey, Hunter, other loving relatives and friends. Raymond is preceded in death by his sister Katherine and his brother Butch Rolfes.

Ray was proud to be a truck driver. He drove for Acme Paper for over 25 years before his health impacted his ability to drive.  He didn’t let that stop him though. He continued to work as a dispatcher for Acme. If Ray wasn’t working, you could find him spending time with his family which he loved beyond words.

A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Road, Halethorpe MD 21227 on Thursday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will take place Friday at 11am followed by interment at Loudon Park Cemetery.
