Peter Katich

Peter William Katich, age 69, passed away on November 26, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born on February 13, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri to Virginia Katich(nee Ekewise) and the late Peter Michael Katich. Peter is the beloved husband of Debra Sue Katich; loving father of Melissa Richardson-Root and her husband Charles, Jacquelyn Katich-Edward and her husband Scott, and Michael Peter Katich; cherished grandfather of Jonathan Richardson, Morgan Root, and great-grandfather of Claire Richardson; dear brother of Christine Virginia Himick; caring uncle of Daniel P. Himick and Jason J. Himick.
Before beginning his 29 year career in law enforcement as a Baltimore City Police Officer, Pete served in the U.S Army and was honorably discharged in 1969. Pete retired June 1999 from the Baltimore City Police Department.
Family members and friends will honor Pete’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 with a public visitation on Tuesday, 12/6/16 from 10am-12pm where a funeral service will follow the same day beginning at 12pm. Interment to follow in Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
