Paul Edward Howe, Sr., 82, formerly of Elkridge, MD died suddenly on March 13, 2016 at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of the late Bertha H. (Card) Howe, whom he was married to for 58 years at the time of her death on February 6, 2015. Paul was born June 18, 1933 in Harwood Park, Elkridge, MD. He was the son of the late A. Edward & Marie S. (Yost) Howe.
Paul graduated from Elkridge High School in 1951. He was formerly employed by the May Company (Stock Clerk), Howard County Times & The News American (Photographer), Crown Cork & Seal (Machinist), Howard County Transportation (School Bus Driver), Dorsey Trailway's & Winchester Speedway (Photographer), A.G. Parrott Company, Paul's Sandblasting, Howe's Roofing & Siding Company, Fred Johnson Overhead Door Company, Don Leopold Landscaping, Obender Crab & Oyster Boat, & IGA Store. Paul was a Volunteer firefighter for the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Harwood Park United Methodist Church. You could usually find him at the Westport & Dorsey Speedways, where he really enjoyed car racing. He also loved antique car shows, deep sea fishing, crabbing, taking pictures, silk screening, roller skating, and his favorite hangout was LeCompte Restauant.
Paul is survived by 5 children, his daughters Easter Dorsey, and her late husband Richard Dorsey, Jr., Terrie Leopold, and her husband Russell, and Deborah Thomas, and her husband Bryan; his sons Paul Howe, Jr., and his wife Debra, and Thomas Howe, and his wife Gloria, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister, 3 brother-in-laws, 2 sister-in-laws, and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
