Patricia Ciuffreda

Patricia A. Ciuffreda, PHD., passed away on July 7, 2021 in hospice care. She was born on August 25, 1939 to the late Lucille Owens Ciuffreda & the late Albert Ciuffreda, Sr. Patricia lived in Laurel for 39 years. She graduated from George Washington University and received her doctorate from Nova University. Patricia was employed at the Justice Department for 30 years and was a professor at Strayer College. She was a lifelong reader of science fiction. Patricia was a member of Mufon & donated to American Indians, All Animals, & multiple other charities. She is survived by her brother Albert Ciuffreda (Flora); caring aunt of Sherri Ramsey, Lori Swift, & Amy White; cherished great-aunt of 3 great-nieces & 1 great-nephew; dear friend of Marian Horseman & her children Sarah Hurst, Timothy, & Gerald Horseman. Patricia is also survived by the Pawley’s & many other loving family members & friends. Family & friends may gather at the family owned & operated Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Sunday, July 11 from 3:00-5:00pm & 7:00-9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s name to the ASPCA, Animal Angels, or American Indians.
