Norman Dixon

August 12, 1938 — May 5, 2021

Norman Dean Dixon, age 82, sadly passed away on May 5th, 2021 at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia. Norman grew up in Erie, PA. Upon leaving, he joined the United States Marine Corp, serving proudly for 2 years. Following his discharge, Norman went to work for Albert L. Auer, Inc. as an electrician for 45 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid Bass fisherman & hunter.

He is the devoted husband of Linda JoAnn Dixon; beloved father of Jill Whitehead & Christine Kelly; dear grandfather of Michael Henry, Matthew Henry, Timothy Whitehead, Jr., Jedidiah Whitehead, & Jessica Whitehead; caring great-grandfather of Arlo Henry; cherished brother of Kathleen Hollister. He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Dixon & his mother, Edith Fuhrman (nee Merket).

A memorial service will be held at Bishop Cummins Reformed Episcopal Church on Friday May 21, 2021 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Norman’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
