Mary Bernadette Neville , age 93, was born on July 25, 1922 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late James Ward and Margaret Kirby Ward. Mary Bernadette passed away on August  26, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the oldest of seven children. Mary Bernadette was known to be very active with the Catholic Daughters of America and the oldest and largest Irish Ancient Order of Hibernians for many years. She was also an active member of the Prime Timers Group from the St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish. Mary Bernadette worked many years at the front desk of St. Agnes Hospital and was a teacher at St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish School. Her favorite color was blue. Mary Bernadette loved to eat crab cakes and marshmallow donuts.

Mary Bernadette was the beloved wife to Joseph Henry Neville for 66 years, who she married on November 25, 1948. They both loved to travel and take bus trips together.  Loving mother of Jemma, Bernadette, Joseph, Kevin and Daniel; cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 1 on the way. She is also survived by her 3 brothers.

Family members and friends will honor Mary Bernadette’s life with a public viewing on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish from 10am-12pm where the Mass of Christian Burial will follow on the same day beginning at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, at the family’s request donations in Mary Bernadette’s memory may be made to My Brother’s Keeper, 4207 Frederick Ave., Baltimore, Maryland 21229.
