Mary Brooks

Mary L. Brooks, age 64, passed away on November 13, 2019. Mary was born on February 7, 1955 to the late Kenneth and Marjorie Dunn. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband John Wayne Brooks. Mary is the devoted mother of Tim Brooks and his wife Charryse, and Amy Brooks; loving grandmother of Mackenzie Brooks and Claire Brooks; cherished sister of George Dunn, Walter Dunn, Paul Dunn, the late Virginia Taylor, the late June Campbell, and Bette Ann Harris. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
Mary lit up every room with sparkles in her eyes & unconditional love for everyone she met. She devoted her life to God, her family, and countless hours of volunteer work in every state she lived in. She thrived by helping people and glorified God in doing so. Her family made her prouder than anything in life & she made them proud in so many ways, but mostly by simply being herself & constantly letting her light shine. She was one of a kind & can never be replaced. We pray that all who knew her will continue her legacy by committing acts of kindness & thoughtfulness in her name. Keep her light shining, this world hasn’t seen enough of Mary L. Brooks.
A viewing will be held at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, 2750 Rogers Avenue, Ellicott City, MD 21043 on Tuesday beginning at 5pm. A funeral service will begin at 6:30pm. The family asks that donations be made in Mary’s memory to Crossroads Church of the Nazarene.
