Mark Metzger

Mark David Metzger died on April 9, 2014 at home with his family by his side. Mark is the beloved husband of Anne E. Kerr, dear son of the late Tom Metzger and Marion Metzger (nee: Schaffer) and cherished brother of Dan Metzger and the late Tom, Connie, and Steve Metzger. In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by a loving daughter, Sean C. Amereihn and his beloved grandson Nathan. Mark was born on July 12, 1948, in Michigan. He loved being on the water and had homes in Stoney Beach and Ocean City. Mark was a valued and long time member of the Baltimore County Police Department working with at-risk youths and families. He will be greatly missed by the Police Department, many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends. The family will receive visitors at Mark's home in Stoney Beach, 1400 River Mist Court, on Wednesday, 4/23, from 3-7PM. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church, Frankford Avenue on Thursday, 4/24, at 10AM. A reception will immediately follow Mass in the church hall from 11am-2pm.
