Maria Rojas Cubillos Thompson

Maria Rojas, age 85, sadly passed away on June 18th, 2022. Maria was an avid gardener, devoted wife, and cherished neighbor to many. If you knew her, you would always see her with a smile on her face. She always loved to help a friend in need whether it was saying a prayer for them, giving them something to eat or showing them a new flower that had sprouted in her garden. Maria is survived by her dear niece Nubia, her step-daughters Debbie and Jackie, as well as many other extended family members in her home country.  Maria will always be known as a kind, sweet friend to all.

The Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes on Friday, July 29th at 10:00 am, 7500 Pearl Street, Bethesda, MD 20814. Flowers can be sent to the church for Maria, and in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington D.C. Inc.
