On August 17, 2017 Margaret Ann Young (nee Jackson) unexpectedly left this world.  Margaret was born in Paris, Texas, on March 29, 1931, to William H. and Emily Stevens Jackson.  After living in Camilla, Georgia, she moved to Baltimore, Maryland with her family, arriving on New Year's Day 1941.  Here she met and married in 1950 Francis "Craig" Young, having their only son, William Jackson Young, Sr., in 1951.  She was the beloved sister of the late Rebecca Jackson Samuel and dear sister-in-law of the late Herman Samuel.  She retired from C&P Telephone Company in 1992, devoting her life to her family.  She never missed any event and went above and beyond for everyone in her life.

She is survived by her son William Jackson Young, Sr. and his wife Kimberly.  She loved her grandchildren Gina Cash (husband Brian), Magen Short (husband Donald), William J Young, Jr, Lisa Ordakowski (husband Roddy), Ronald Rice, and Marky Peterson (husband Brandon).  She adored her great-grandchildren Brea Weiss, Tristan Merritt, Eben Ordakowski, Conrad Ordakowski, Gretchyn Ordakowski, Alyssa Sutton and Alexander Rice.  She also had the blessing of recently being gifted with one great-great-granddaughter, Aurora Vestri.  She was a devoted Aunt, second mother and friend to her loving niece Ann Lovelace (husband Michael McAndrew) and nephew Rick Samuel (wife Sonia) and their children Hahna Samuel and Koby Samuel.  Additionally, she left behind her loving soulmate of over 40 years, Robert L. West.

Relatives and friends may call at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1328 Sulphur Spring Road Halethorpe, MD 21227, on Monday, August 21, 2017, from 3-5 & 7-9 pm, where a funeral service will also be held for Margaret on Tuesday, August, 22, 2017 starting at 12:30 pm. Interment to immediately follow services in the Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Avenue Pikesville, MD 21208.

At the request of Margaret's family, donations in her name may be directed to the South West Emergency Services, 1201 Maple Avenue Halethorpe, MD 21227.
