Margaret Frances Berg (nee Kane) passed away on November 22, 2018 as a result of complications from Alzheimer's Disease.
Margaret ("Peggy") was born in Baltimore on August 1, 1931. The daughter of Francis Paul Kane and Margaret Ellen Kane, Peggy was preceded in death by sisters Eileen G. Volluse and Jane Nugent. She is survived by brother Bruce Kane and sister-in-law Nancy Kane.
Peggy graduated from Southern High School in 1949. In August 1953, she married William Frank Berg. Peggy worked at the A & P Tea Company, and she retired from Spring Grove Hospital, Volunteer Services, after working there for over 20 years.
Peggy and Bill had two daughters, Paula Ann Hardcastle and Pamela Margaret Kelley. Peggy is survived by three grandchildren: John W. Hardcastle, Emily A. Presley and William Patrick Kelley; two great grandsons, Charles John Hardcastle and James Robert Hardcastle; and one great granddaughter, Scarlett Harriett Presley. She is also survived by two sons-in-law, Mark J. Hardcastle and Walter Kelley.
Visitation will be at Ambrose Funeral Home in Arbutus on Monday, November 26th from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Ambrose on Tuesday, November 27th at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Meadowridge Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
