Julian John Arca, was born February 5, 1963 in Endicott, New York to Paul and Lorraina Arca. Survived by his wife, Carol Arca (Rattell) and her parents (carolyn and Robert Rattell); three brothers: Vince, Victor, Christopher arca; and three sisters: Charmaine, Lorraine, Adrienne arca and his late brothers, Alan and Justin arca. Beloved son, brother and Godfather of many nieces and nephews including Patrice Arca, Adam Grace, Emma Pertesses, Kyle Bacon and dog, Lacey.
Julian John Arca was "a simple kind of man" dedicated to core values of God, country, dog and football. Sundays were sacred. Julian ushered at Ascension Catholic Church and loved football. After graduating from Lansdowne HighSchool in 1981, he became a machine mechanic at Arbutus Fairlanes Bowling Center.
Despite having Juvenille Diabetes since the age of 2, Julian was dedicated to the American work ethic, working over two decades as a flooring engineer at Bode Floors. He enjoyed playing with his dogs, as well as gardening, cooking and baking.
Above all Julian will be remembered for his selfless ability to put others needs before his own. He was a giver, not a taker. Even though his life was taken away from him at the young age of 54, he continues to give life through numerous organ donations through The Living Legacy Foundation.
His actions remind us to not waste, not to throw away the precious gift of life, but to recycle life- "for it is in giving that we receive."
In lieu of flowers, the Arca's request donations be made in Julian's memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDF). For those who are computer challenged, a JDF collection basket will be present during the viewing.
