Joshua W. Skurnik, age 39, passed away suddenly on August 3, 2021 at his residence in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Born January 16, 1982 in Baltimore Maryland, he is survived by two young sons Tyler Skurnik and Levi Skurnik, whom he loved and adored deeply; his mother Madalen T. Muraro and husband Leo; father Jacob Skurnik and wife Candance; also surviving are stepbrothers Adam Kummerer, Ethan Kummerer, John Muraro; stepsisters Aileen Hamilton and husband Robert, Annette Perschke and husband Scott; grandmothers Mary Vernetson and Mary Skurnik; uncles Abraham Skurnik, Bill Vernetson and wife Theresa, Bruce Vernetson; aunt Mary Vernetson; numerous cousins and many other relatives and friends
Joshua was raised in Finksburg Maryland and was a graduate of Westminster High School class of 2000. He enjoyed fishing, hockey, skating, and poker and was skilled at each. He was known for his sense of humor and his strong work ethic, working long and hard in retail sales throughout his brief life. He made friends easily and he was helpful, caring and thoughtful towards others. Above all he was a loving son, devoted father, and good man to know.
Family and friends may visit at the Ambrose Funeral Home 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd. Arbutus, on Sunday August 8 from 3-5, and 7-9pm, where a Funeral Service will be held Monday August 9th, at 10:00am. Interment following at New Cathedral Cemetery.
