Joseph O'Melia, Sr.

Joseph Thomas O’Melia, Sr., age 87, passed away on September 20, 2019 in the comfort of his home. He was born on August 10, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Sarah O’Melia (nee Biden) and to the late James O’Melia. Joseph is the beloved husband of the late Elsie O’Melia and the late Mary O’Melia; loving father of Pamela Mahee and her husband Tyrone, Joseph O’Melia, Jr., Sharon Lockard and her husband Howard, Tammy Jacobs and her husband Bill, and Linda Kirby and her husband Kevin; cherished grandfather of Tracy, Russell, Lisa, Melissa, April, Denise, Kayla, Anthony, Danny, Matthew, Zachary, Ashley, Samantha, Tiffany, Amber; great grandfather of Megan, Cory, Larry, Mason, Zachary, Leah, Alyssa, Bryce, Savanna, Braiden, Logan, Lukas, Levi, Lyla, Skylar, Madison, Peyton, Remi, Jaxson, LJ, Ava, Ella, and great great grandfather of MeLiah, Malakhi, Laci and Maverick; dear brother of Kathleen Pinheiro and her husband Bert, and the late James O’Melia, Jr. and his wife Charlotte.

Family members and friends will honor Joseph’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE with a public viewing on Thursday from 3pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm where a funeral service will be held on Friday beginning at 10am. Interment to follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park. At the family’s request in lieu of flowers donations in Joseph’s memory may be directed to the Arbutus Fire Hall, 5200 Southwestern Blvd., Halethorpe, Maryland 21227.
