Jon Anderson, Sr.

Jon A. Anderson, Sr ., age 80, passed away on August 10, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland surrounded by his loving family and friends. Jon reached out and held God’s hand and they walked up to heaven together. Jon was born on November 18, 1935 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Bowers A. Anderson and Effie L. Anderson (nee Coleman). Jon is the beloved husband of Helen A. Anderson; loving father of Jon Anderson, Jr., David Anderson, Joseph Anderson, James Anderson and his partner Brian and William Anderson; cherished grandfather of Jon, III, Kevin, Timmy, Aeriel, Joseph, Jr., Jeffrey, James, Jacob, Tiffany, Patricia, Phillip, Nathaniel and Justin, and great-grandfather of five great grandchildren; caring uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Proud cousin of Clayton Anderson a retired NASA astronaut. Also, survived by other loving cousins and numerous family members in Nebraska.

Family members and friends will honor Jon’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., 21227 with a public viewing on Monday 8/15/16 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm where a funeral service will follow on Tuesday, 8/16/16 beginning at 11am. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
