Joan Lester

Joan Patricia Lester (Myers), 87, of Halethorpe, MD departed this earthly world to be with the Lord on October 5, 2018. Joan was predeceased by her husband of sixty-seven years, Thomas Lester Sr. and by her son, Thomas Lester Jr.

She is survived by her children Trinita and the late Richard Duncan, Amy and Louie Leaf, Wanda and Pepper Hartley, Patrick and the late Laurie Lester, and Bonnie and Scott Coughlin. As well as her grandchildren Rich Duncan, Sister Veronica of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, O. Carm (Elizabeth Hartley), Tim Duncan, Zachary Hartley, Samantha Lester, Thomas Lester, Kathleen Skeen, Leah Melton, Brennan Lester, Donovan Lester, Felicity Coughlin, and Ethan Coughlin.  She was also the proud GiGi to fourteen great grandchildren, and dear sister of Ann Edmonds and Karyl Uebel.  She will fondly be remembered by her faithful companions Deanna Meile and Nancy Knowles.

Viewings will be held at the Arbutus location on October 14th from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 15, 2018 at 10AM at the Church of the Ascension located at 4603 Poplar Ave, Halethorpe, MD 21227.
