On January 31, 2012, Jerry Roland Gorth, Jr. of Powder Springs, GA, passed away. A native of Baltimore Highlands, MD, Mr. Gorth moved to Powder Springs, GA in 1999. He owned and operated Austell General Store; a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. Survivors: wife Cindy Gorth of Powder Springs, GA; mother Sue Gorth of Powder Springs, GA; children, Mark Worley of Vinings, GA, Kristy Coffey and her husband Richie of Zebulon, GA; sisters, Denise Knickman and her husband Barry of Maryland, Cindy Lease and her husband Ray also of Maryland; two grandchildren, Rachel Braylee and Nathan Brant Coffey; nieces Katie Smith, Jessica Baldwin and Sherrie Knickman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in the chapel of Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
