James" Jim" Gardner Phelps, III, age 55, passed away on October 5, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland. Jim was born on October 12, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Charles Claude Phelps and the late Grace Phelps( nee Hommerbocker). He is the beloved husband, best friend and soulmate of Rita Jean Phelps; loving father of Kelly Wilson, Nicholas Phelps, Jaclyn Smith, James Phelps, IV and Frank Smith, III; cherished grandfather of Julian, Brylin, Camren, Melana, Jayden, Frankie, Robbie, Kasey and Courtney; caring father-in-law of Mike, Rob and Casey. Also, survived by other siblings and in-laws.
Family members and friends will honor James’ life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE with a public memorial service on Thursday, October 13, 2016 beginning at 3pm.
