James "Jim" Lucke

James “Jim” C. Lucke, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2022. Jim graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  Jim was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Francis Lucke & the late Florence Lucke (nee Seebach). Jim was the devoted husband of the late Ethel Lucke; beloved father of Debbie O’Brien, Douglas Lucke, Pamela Lauer, & the late Florence Britton; cherished grandfather of Karina Happel, Jodi O’Brien, Victoria Lucke, Dylan Lucke, Marissa Lucke, Adam Lauer, James Lauer, & John Lauer; caring great-grandfather of Sophia Hartman, Trey Happel, Darienne Happel, & Brenton Happel. Jim is also survived by many other loving family & friends.

Family & friends may gather at the family owned & operated Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Tuesday, December 13 from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Augustine's Catholic Church on Thursday, December 22 at 9:30am. Interment will immediately follow at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
