James Spies

On April 10th, 2021 James Melvin Spies passed away. Born on July 15th, 1934, he was the devoted son of the late James Frederick and the late Lillian Spies (nee Dicus); beloved husband of the late Mildred Spies; loving father of Mark Spies and his wife Sandy, Timothy Spies and his wife Cindy, John Spies and his wife Sarah, Leo Spies and his fiancé April Webb, Michelle Houser and the late Steve Houser, Deana Rites and her husband Moe, Tanya Bristow and her husband Tim; Cherished grandfather of Christine, Ryan, the late Ashley , Dave, Katelyn, Tiffany, Logan, Josua, Siera, Dannale, Payton , three great grandchildren Camden, Charlotte, & Cole; & 6 step grandchildren. Dear brother of Nancy, Paul, the late Sue, the late Mary Jane, the late Diane, the late Lucille, the late Robert, the late Jumbo, & the late Tommy. James is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Family members and friends may gather at the family owned and operated Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Halethorpe, MD 21227 for a visitation on Thursday, April 15th from 3:00-5:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16th at 10AM.  Interment will immediately follow in the Meadowridge Memorial Park.
