James Bertrand

James W. Bertrand affectionately known as “Jim” passed away on March 17, 2019. Jim was born on April 26, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Sadie Marie Bertrand (nee Robel) and to the late Arthur Leo Bertrand. He is the beloved husband of 62 years to Jean Bertrand (nee Berkouski); loving father of Bill Bertrand and his wife Pam, Tom Bertrand and his wife Lisa, and Linda Payne and her late husband Chuck; cherished grandfather of Steve and his wife Gaby, Mike, Lauren, Ryan, Robby, Claire and Ben, and great grandfather of Lila, Steve, Jr., and Jheremy.  Jim is the dear brother of Mildred Busick and was preceded in death by his siblings Melvin Bertrand, Edward Bertrand, Arthur Bertrand, and Frances Braithwaite.  Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

Family members and friends will honor Jim’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus, MD 21227 on Thursday from 3-5pm & 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5422 Old Frederick Rd., Catonsville, MD 21229 beginning at 12 Noon. Interment to follow in Baltimore National Veterans Cemetery.
