Iva Boyd

Iva Boyd was born in Tennessee, August 13, 1936. Her parents, the late Dora and Roy Collins, moved their family to Baltimore, Maryland in the early 1940’s for work and a better life for their children. Iva loved music and she was very proud that she played in the high school band. She loved to put puzzles together and play games with her family.

Iva is survived by her three children, Karin Taylor, Robert and Margaret Matthews, and Kelley and Frank McNeeley; her grandchildren Shawn Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Steven Taylor, Andrew Austin, Rachel Austin, Sara McNeeley, Cody McNeeley, Christopher Boyd, Jacob Lewis, Trevon McNeeley, and Katelyn Boyd and niece Connie Rolf.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Roy and Dora Collins; siblings Reva and Michael Mason, Charles Collins, and Glenna Cuffley; nephews Mickey Mason and Dennis Mason; nieces Cathy and Donna Cuffley.

Iva lived her final days at the amazing Gilchrist in Columbia. She passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home, 1328 Sulphur Spring Road, Halethorpe MD 21227 on Tuesday from 9am – 11am with a funeral service beginning at 11am. A burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Iva's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
