Irma Gibson

Irma May Gibson, age 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 9, 2015. Irma was born on November 26, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late John Henry Fitzberger and Edna Mae Fitzberger(nee Mills). Irma is the beloved wife of the late William M. Gibson, Jr.; loving mother of Michael P. Gibson and his wife Margaret, James A. Gibson and his wife Janice, and the late William M. Gibson, III and his widow Carol; cherished grandmother of Michael Gibson, Jr. and his wife Shelly, Robert Gibson, Kimberly Gibson, Dawn Gibson, Shawn Gibson and his wife Kim, James Gibson, Jr., Ryan Gibson and his wife Becca; caring great grandmother of Alexis, Christian and Carson Gibson, Kari and Lacey Ford, Holden Gibson, Tyler Kearney, Melissa Geldmacher, Heather and Alecia Kuez, Brittany Klapp and the late Christopher Geldmacher; cherished great-great grandmother of James, Adrianna and Anthony Lafortezza and Hailey Klapp; dear sister of Mildred Voss, Dorothy Jackson, Preston, Warren and Vernon Fitzberger. She is also survived by other many other loving relatives and friends.

Family members and friends will honor Irma’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE AND CREMATION SERVICES, PA, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 with a public viewing on Sunday, December 13 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM where a funeral service will follow on Monday, December 14 beginning at 12PM. Interment Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Irma's memory to Catholic Charities Senior Community: Coursey Station, 200 First Avenue, Halethorpe, MD 21227.
