Irene Williams

Irene Thelma. (nee Brose) Williams, 99, of Taylorsville, MD passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Dove House in Westminster, MD. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 6, 1916.
She had an unwavering faith and trust in God and was a “prayer warrior”. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker and took pride in her immaculate home. In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening, growing many different types of flowers. In later years she transferred her love of growing outside flowers to growing African violets.
Irene was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, John Williams. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Jeffrey O. Barber and her brother, Harry Brose. Irene is survived by her daughters Irene Barber, Patricia Haynie (Robert) and Diane Staiger (Richard). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on July 2, 2016 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Judy Emerson officiating at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 4901 Woodbine Road, Sykesville, MD. 21784. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ebenezer UMC Building Fund.
