Irene Cervi

Irene was born to Nickolas and Ethel Kovacs in Daisytown, Pennsylvania.  She spent her early life on the family farm and upon the outbreak of World War II, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio to work for an aircraft manufacturing  company.

After the war, she moved back to Washington, PA where she met her future husband, Edmond Cervi.  They were married in 1949. and shortly after moved to Severna Park, MD. They raised three children.

Irene was a skilled seamstress, teaching tailoring classes at the YWCA and working at a sewing shop.  She also excelled at gardening and landscaping.  Her meals were not to be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ed in 2019. She is survived by her three children, Mark Cervi, Severna Park MD; Jana Carmack, Boerne TX; and Rene Cervi, The Villages FL; sister Emma Colborn, Brownsville, PA; one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
