On August 19, 2016, Henry Edward Vernacchio, Sr., age 89, passed away in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born on September 5, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Felice Vernacchio and Teresa Vernacchio (nee Faragallo). He was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte Mae Vernacchio; loving father of June Shanahan and her husband Tom, Henry Vernacchio, Jr. and his wife Cindy; cherished grandfather of John Shanahan, Amanda Shanahan Ottey, Henry Vernacchio, III, Melissa Stevenson, and great-grandfather of Mackenzie, Madison, Allison, Andrew, Tiffany, Jimmy, Ryan, Makenzie and Kaden.
Family members and friends will honor Ed’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME OF LANSDOWNE, 2719 Hammonds ferry Rd., Lansdowne, MD 21227 with a public viewing on Tuesday, 8/23/16 from 3-5pm &7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, 8/24 beginning at 12:30pm. Interment to follow in Lorraine Park Cemetery.
