Helen Smith

Helen Marie Smith, age 95, passed away on January 10, 2020 in Catonsville, Maryland. Helen was born on June 27, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Helen A. Murphy (nee Merten) and to the late Wallace J. Murphy. She is the beloved wife of the late George M. Smith, Jr.; loving mother of Joseph G. Smith and wife Janet, Dareen A. McGloin and husband Frank, Bonnie M. Maschinsky and husband the late Edmund, Judith H. Marlatt and husband Jack and Sharon K. Moore; cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Family members and friends will honor Helen’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC. (Arbutus) with a public viewing on Thursday, 01/16/2020 from 3pm-5pm & 7pm-9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish, 3801 Old Frederick Rd., Baltimore, Maryland 21229 on Friday, 01/17/2020 beginning at 11am. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
