Helen Joan Schmidt , age 85, passed away on May 22, 2016 in Catonsville, Maryland. She was born on June 27, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Schmidt and Mary J. Schmidt( nee Applegate); beloved cousin of Genevieve L. Yeager, Joe Wolf and the late Larry Wolf; dear sister of the late Richard J. Schmidt and Francis W. Schmidt. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Family members and friends will honor Helen’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus, MD with a public viewing on Wednesday from 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Ascension, 4603 Poplar Ave., Halethorpe, MD 21227 on Thursday beginning at 10am. Interment to follow in Loudon Park Cemetery. At the request of the family donations in Helen’s memory may be directed to the Church of the Ascension.
