Hazel Wood

Hazel V. ‘McGhee’ Wood, age 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 8, 2017. She is the beloved wife of the late Robert ‘Woody’ Wood; dear mother of Betty Okonski and her husband Edward, Jr.; devoted Nanny of Diane Connelly and her husband Scott, Michael Israel and his wife Lena, Brian Israel and his wife Kelley, Lynn Ackman and her husband Glenn, and Edward Okonski, III and his wife Tabatha; loving great Nanny of Travis and his wife Shannon, Amanda and her husband DJ, Alexander, Sydney, Brendan, Andrew, Makenzie, Bridget, Joseph, and Adelyn; great great Nanny of Benjamin; also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 12pm at Henlopen Memorial Park, 28787 Lockerman Rd, Milton, DE 19968. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Hazel’s memory to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
