Gertrude Hardester

On 12/12/2012 Gertrude L. Hardester (nee Goeller) passed away. She was the beloved wife of Edward E. Hardester, Sr. Gert was the loving mother of Catherine Beaver and her husband Howard, Edward Hardester, Jr. and his wife Patricia, Jeffrey Hardester and his wife Mary and the late Michael Hardester and his widow Kathleen. She was the cherished "Mom-Mom" of 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Gert was the dear sister of Rosalie Russell and also survived by many loving family members and friends. Gertrude graduated from St. Clement School in 1939 and from Catonsville High School in 1943, she also retired from Westinghouse in 1987.

Relatives and friends may call at our Lansdowne location for a viewing for both Gertrude and her late son Michael on Saturday and Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services for both will be held on Monday 10:00 am at the St. Clement I Catholic Church, 2700 Washington Ave Lansdowne, MD 21227. Interment to immediately follow services in the Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Gilcrest Hospice Care, Inc. 11311 McCormick Rd suite 350 Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
