Halethorpe

It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

George was born in Baltimore, MD on March 8, 1959 to George Galante Sr. and Patricia Shook, who preceded him in death. He is survived by son Josh Galante, son Tyler Galante, and granddaughter Nicole Galante. He is additionally survived by sister Denise Boggs (Robert), brother-in-laws Glen Whittington (Ginger), Gary Whittington (Mary), and nieces Gina (Michael Tashnick), Ashley & Amanda Whittington, great-niece Scarlett Tashnick, niece Michelle Horn (Al), nephew Wade Tettleton (Stephanie), great-niece Sydney Kay Tettleton and stepbrother-in-law David Jarrett.

George attended high school at Glenelg High School in Howard County, MD. After high school he worked at Westinghouse before moving to Northrop Grumman in the purchasing department.

George was an avid fisher, crabber and hunter. His happy place was being on the water, specifically the Chesapeake Bay. Outside of those activities, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and in his younger days, racing dirt bikes.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by wife Wanda “Gaye” Galante, daughter Ali Nicole Galante, nephew Jarrett Ryan Whittington, and stepfather-in-law Harry Jarrett.
