Fred Lee, Sr.

Fred Eugene Lee, Sr., 84, of Halethorpe, Maryland passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on December 6, 2016. A celebration of life service will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds ferry Rd., on Saturday at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials, may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
He was born July 9, 1932 in Rose Hill, Virginia and graduated from Lisbon High School. He joined the Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. He retired from BGE in 1991. He was an extremely active parent coaching baseball, softball and basketball teams for his children and volunteering at his grandchildren’s schools.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene; 2 sisters, Alma Bainbridge and Ruth Mingee; 5 children; 9 grandchildren; and, one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Edward and Carrie Blanche (Speak) and siblings Retha Harless, Elizabeth Ferguson, James Lee, Mitchell Lee, and Joseph Lee.
