Frank Pulley, Sr.

Frank W. Pulley, Sr. age 84, passed away on October 04, 2015 in Dothan, AL. He was born September 26, 1931 in Pasadena, MD.  Frank truly adored his wife, Norma.  For 57 years, he endured beatings with a loaf of bread as she tolerated his “backyard” mechanics and his disappearing into the pantry (that doubled as a workshop).     Every where they went they were the cutest couple.

“If you’re going to do it, do it right or don’t do it.”  “Don’t spend money you haven’t earned.”  These were lessons he passed down thru the generations.  He was a patient, stern, loving, and resourceful man.  We were told of times when he warmed baby bottles using the radiator of his car.

He enjoyed his westerns as his family enjoyed making wishes off his bald spot.  He taught his grand kids the proper way to eat crab.  He always kept his family close even when we are scattered across the states.  This was love.  This is Frank.

Surviving relatives include:  one brother, Harry Pulley; one sister Dorothy Kelly; wife, Norma L. Pulley; one son, John Pulley Sr; two daughters, Catherine Widener and Roxanne Payne; 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He will be greeted at the heavenly gates by his son Frank Pulley Jr., 6 siblings, his parents, and many other beloved family members.

A remembrance service to honor the life of Frank will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home located at 1328 Sulfur Spring Rd., Arbutus, MD 21227 on Friday, October 16 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm.  A church service will be held at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church located at 1200 Linden Avenue in Arbutus, MD on October 17, 2015 at 11am.  A grave side service will immediately follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park located at 7215 Richie Highway in Glen Burnie, MD.
