Fern Arata

Fern Elizabeth Arata, age 100, passed away peacefully on August 1st 2018 after a brief Illness. Born July 6, 1918 she was the daughter of George and Pearl Potee. She was preceded in death by her husband  Hon. Stephen J. Arata, Jr. Survived by her sons Stephen (Donna), Vincent and his companion Wanda Caldwell. Also survived by grandsons Stephen Vincent (Kristine) and Kevin Nestor (Trina) and three loving great grandchildren, Ryan, Jillanna, and Grayson as well as many other family members.

Family members and friends will honor Fern’s life at the family owned and operated AMBROSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1328 Sulphur Spring RD, Arbutus, MD 21227 with public viewing on Wednesday August 8, 2018 from 10am-12pm where a funeral service will follow beginning at 12pm. Interment to follow in Meadowridge Memorial Park. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations in Fern’s memory be made to Hooper House, 2007 Klein Plaza Dr., Forest Hill, MD 21050 or to The Smile Train @ smiletrain.org.
