Bobby Houck passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022 with family by his side and is now with the Lord. He was born on February 20, 1953 to the late James Anthony and Dorothy May (nee Van Aelst) Houck. He graduated from Lansdowne High School in 1973. Bobby is survived by his wife of 36 years JoAnn Houck (nee Petrusik) and his children Leah-Nicole Huffman, Casey Houck and wife Jaime, Matthew Houck, BJ Houck (Emil Houck, Jr.) and wife Candice, Kevin Houck, Justin Houck and his girlfriend Brittany, and his bonus son Boray Gerigiden; his loving grandchildren Alison, Savannah, Jacob, Gabriel, Emil, Judah, Atticus, Mackenzie, Talin, Jett, Leyla, Millie, and great grandson Logan; siblings James Houck and wife Anna, the late Martin Houck and surviving wife Ann, the late Mary Duty, Gail Kennedy and husband Mark, Marie Gieryic and husband Mike, Patrick Houck, Heidi-Ida Houck and wife Mary, and Troy Houck; also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Bobby worked for over 40 years at Baltimore Gas and Electric where he was a lineman before becoming an Overhead Crew Leader. In earlier years he was a member of Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Department and coached little league. He enjoyed participating in Haunted Hallows in his community and served as an usher at Lighthouse (LH) Church in Glen Burnie. We can’t forget Bobby was a huge Ravens fan but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne 2719 Hammonds Ferry Road, Halethorpe MD 21227 on Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am with visiting hours beginning at 10am.
