Elmer Engles, Jr.

Elmer Francis Engles, Jr., 76, of Severn, passed away on July 31, 2018. Born December 29, 1941, he was the son of the late Elmer Francis Engles, Sr. and Pearl Margaret Walter. He was a retired Maryland Air National Guardsman and a member of Howard Lodge 101. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Jeanette A. Lancaster, are his children Sheli, Scott, and Dana Hatch; grandchildren Austin Hatch, Sarah & Michael Engles, and 1 great grandchild Marabelle Hatch and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Phyllis Jean Olsen and brother, Edward Rush Engles.

Family members and friends may gather at the family owned and operated Ambrose Funeral Home of Lansdowne, 2719 Hammonds Ferry Rd. Lansdowne, MD 21227 for a public visitation on Monday, August 6 at 3-5PM and 7-9PM and Tuesday, August 7 at 3-5PM and 7-9PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elmer’s name to Hospice of the Chesapeake or the VA Medical Center in Baltimore. A gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 8 at 12-5PM at the Howard Lodge No.101, 5585 Levering Ave. Elkridge, MD 21075.
